What does Namaste mean?
I came upon this word on several spiritual websites and then one day, asked my sister if she knew what it meant.
She said the word using the following sounds “Na ma stay”
Oh… is that how it’s said?
Her yoga teacher taught her the following meaning:
“I recognize the humanity in you.”
Upon further researching the meaning of Namaste, I was able to find that it also means peace. Greeting someone by saying “Namaste” signifies that you recognize the divinity of that person, and that the spirit of each individual acts as a unifying force within all people.
We Are All One.
