Facet of Life
March 13, 2008
Dear Project Life,
You are apparently only a facet of my life. You are inherently virtual. I have had a difficult time maintaining you because I am actually busy maintaining my reality. In the past few weeks I have joined a band (unofficial information), traveled to Texas and back, and I have been working like crazy designing kitchens for lovely people.
Things have slowed down a bit. I am no longer planning a secretive trip to see a friend who I met in a most mysterious way… on the internet! I was a bit stressed out flying to Austin for a weekend. The weather was beautiful, and a welcome reprieve from Upstate New York’s frigid climate. Everyone had to find out about my journey because of a flight delay. It was messy for me emotionally. I suppose the lesson my project life can take away from my life experience is: Tell people exactly where you are going and who you are visiting and do not worry about the judgment you might incur. It’s not worth shocking them later on when you are stranded in Washington, DC overnight! I love my family and friends…
So since time is running out for this session of one on one openness, I want to pledge to you that I will be back with more frequency. I have plenty of ideas brewing for blog entries. One more lesson: Just sit down and write.
