Life Light
May 1, 2008
I shared my Monday Morning blues with you through a poem the other day.
I should note that I have been neglecting my meditation practice (amongst other things, including people as of late) . I feel this allowed thoughts that used to invade my brain on a daily basis to come through upon wakening that day.
By Wednesday I had scribbled a response to myself on a small little yellow post-it note, words crossed out, and a sentence on the side saying “Stars don’t turn to dust- they are dust.”
Here is what I wrote:
we are all
only
matter
in different
forms
like stars
we are born
shining brightly
then fading
birth and death
two finite moments marking
almost a century of
Life Light
*Namaste*

Even your sad, pessimistic poems are beautiful, Kate. But this poem is not only beautiful, it’s inspirational, too. It gave me some support during one of my bluesy mornings recently, so thank you.

Thank you Mary.
I am so glad.
I get bluesy mornings a lot lately.
This is happening mainly because my sister is working, and I don’t get to wake up and spend time with her anymore. The mornings are so much nicer when you have someone to share them with.
